Transpose PDF sheet music, page by page
A printable PDF is often the only copy you have. Converting it into editable notation can mean fixing recognition errors, lost lyrics and changed line breaks. Solfa works from the PDF page itself: it moves the notation needed for the new key and keeps the surrounding page.
A practical PDF workflow
- Upload a score PDF, whether it has one page or several.
- Check the page previews and choose an interval from −12 to +12 semitones.
- Inspect the first-staff preview before accepting a result; each accepted page uses 1 credit.
- Download the accepted pages as one PDF or save individual pages as PNG.
Scanned PDF or digital export?
Both are supported. A crisp export from notation software usually gives the model clearer staff lines than a skewed photograph embedded in a PDF. Straight, well-lit scans are easier to transpose and check.
What stays, and what needs checking
The title, lyrics and page layout remain part of the original image rather than being typeset again. Solfa is still in beta: inspect accidentals, key signatures and dense passages before printing or performing. Chord symbols above the staff may move without being renamed.

Do I need MusicXML to transpose a PDF?
No. Upload the PDF you already have; you do not need to reconstruct it in a notation editor.
Can I transpose only some pages?
Yes. Check the previews and select the pages you need. An accepted page costs 1 credit.
Will I get a PDF back?
Yes. You can download accepted pages together as a PDF, or save individual pages as PNG.
